This Saturday we are pleased to have Yugambeh / Kudjela poet and activist Lionel Fogarty reading a selection of his poems along with special guests. Kargun "Moojidi" Yagan Koolmurinee and Yilahrl Koomurinee will start the event with song. Chelsea Watego will introduce Lionel Fogarty and following Lionel's reading we will hear from Ali Cobby Eckermann (Yankunytjatjara / Kokatha) and Jeremy Drew.
This wil be the final day to view the works by Lionel Fogarty at the gallery in WUNGUMBIL MIBANY JALGANY. In Gallery 1 is a selection of poem paintings and poem drawings (c 2000 to 2023). In Gallery 3 manuscripts and drawings are presented alongside a series of video performances. In Gallery 2 is the group exhibition ARTIST POET POIESIS in which Lionel Fogerty’s work also appears.
