This November in gallery one is a selection of works by Judy Watson made between 1992-1999, centred around her monumental work ground piece from 1993. This was a formative period in Watson’s career during which she won the Moet Chandon Art prize (1995) and represented Australia at the Venice Biennale alongside Emily Kam Kgwarray and Yvonne Koolmatrie (1997). The works being presented have been previously exhibited in some significant exhibitions and come from the artist’s personal collection.
