Arriving Slowly delves into a journey of connection with art on a deeper, emotional level while exploring aspirations towards the sublime in Abstraction. The exhibition features Milani Artists Rosslynd Piggott, Robert Hunter, Yuriyal Bridgeman, Ross Manning, and Sandra Selig and D Harding. The exhibition has been programmed to launch with the loan of works by Mark Rothko (1903-1970), Agnes Martin (1912-2004) and Gwyn Hanssen-Pigott (1935-2013) offered through the National Gallery of Australia’s Sharing the National Collection / Art Across Australia program.
